About Huxley Imaging

Huxley Imaging is a business that has been developing for the last two years under my (Richard Buttle) own direction. Without wanting to bore you I will give a little bit of my biography and plans for the future.

After a career in education spanning almost 30 years during which time I was a class teacher, head teacher and finally an inspector in a Local Education Authority Advisory Service, sanity took control (with a vengeance!) at which point I had to develop a new career.

My first concern was simply to get busy again. So I went back to producing water colours and photographs, each being a hobby that I had maintained at only an amateur level. Particularly with photography, I realised that with more time to spend on the shots and actually planning what I wanted to do, the resulting images improved. Also there seemed to be a real decorative value in them, once framed.

After searching everywhere for materials, tools and expertise associated with doing my own framing, I linked up with diyframing.co.uk, a web-based company specialising in all of those things. I now work with DIYframing, designing and leading training packages all around the UK, visit trade exhibitions and write a great deal of the copy for the DIYframing website.

At the same time as this, I was keen to develop my own skills further and so set up a small, bespoke framing service in the Pershore area of Worcestershire. This has only been advertised locally but the business receives a steady stream of enquiries. As a result I have developed a method of producing good quality framing for people’s artwork of all types, making sure that projects are completed using best quality materials and with great care given to all aspects of production. I have also formed my own style of framed photography and, with a growing portfolio of works, am now able to market my work on a wider scale.

This site represents the official launch of my business. One advantage of the current set-up is that I am happy to discuss individual ideas and move away from the “menu” of options on the web-site. As Huxley Imaging grows, I hope to alter the range of photography available and wish to attract artists, photographers and craft workers, who want to market their artwork as framed pieces for sale.

I hope you enjoy visiting the site and will return to see if there are any changes afoot.

If you wish to create a link with this site, or have an interest in marketing your work via Huxley Imaging, please use the contacts available to get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.
